Job Summary
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Queretaro. The primary mission of this role is to define and execute the material flow inside and outside the plant, as well as create, implement, and coordinate logistics strategies aligned with the fulfillment of Aptar objectives and the assurance of on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage work teams responsible for the areas of purchase of productive materials, imports and exports, logistics, planning, customer service, and warehouse.
- Define the purchasing budget for intercompany and external vendors.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations and define strategies to avoid service disruptions.
- Supervise the activities of the customer service area to ensure customer satisfaction and the full performance of contractual obligations to customers.
- Define safety stock strategies to ensure OTIF delivery to customers.
- Develop effective communication, processes, and controls with transportation and logistics vendors.
- Fulfill all legal requirements of import/export agreements.
- Responsible for managing inventory levels to minimize production risk while maximizing inventory turns and avoiding obsolescence.
- Define scheduling strategies with the production area to optimize the schedule and report capacity usage.
- Supervise warehouse activities according to compliance with Aptar security guidelines, shipments optimization, cycle counting, reliability, internal and external service.
- Report the progress of projects, processes, risks, costs, and other information for decision-making.
- Ensure the motivation and professional development of employees in accordance with the spirit, policies, core values, health, and safety of Aptar.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related fields.
- 2+ years of experience in areas such as purchasing, logistics, planning, customer service, and warehouse.
- Experience working with Windows, Office, and SAP (or any other ERP-MRP system).
- Fluency in English language, spoken and written.
- People management skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Willing to work in a team of different cultures.
