About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer - Python to join our team at Baxter. As a key member of our data transformation team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our global data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Improve ETL Jobs: Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs using PySpark and IBM DataStage in AWS.
  • Technical Support and Collaboration: Provide technical support and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Communication and Feedback: Communicate technical solutions and resolutions to internal customers and provide feedback to the ETL team.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of ETL and SQL Experience: Proven experience in ETL and SQL development, with a strong understanding of data transformation and data warehousing concepts.
  • Core Python Programming Skills: Proficient in core Python programming for data transformation, with experience in developing optimization strategies for ETL processes.
  • PySpark and AWS Skills: Intermediate-level PySpark skills, with experience in developing and maintaining ETL jobs in AWS.
  • SQL Fundamentals and Data Dependencies: Strong knowledge of SQL fundamentals, with experience in understanding data dependencies and scheduling jobs in Control-M.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with preferred certifications in AWS, DataStage, and Python/PySpark.
