About the Team

Zillow's mission is to empower home shoppers with innovative solutions, connecting them with real estate professionals to find their dream home with ease. Our Data Platform team is responsible for creating tools, services, and processes that drive data-driven decision making throughout the enterprise. We're looking for a highly technical product manager to help shape the direction of our Data Platform tools and services.

About the Role

We're seeking a product manager with a strong technical background and a passion for abstracting problems that improve developer experience and agility. As a product manager on our Data Platform team, you'll be responsible for developing and managing deployment, evolution, and developer support plans for platform offerings. You'll work closely with engineering teams to identify what truly matters and find ways to deliver value quickly by building a deep understanding of our customers through surveys, product analytics, and shadowing customers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage deployment, evolution, and developer support plans for platform offerings.
  • Identify what truly matters and find ways to deliver value quickly by building a deep understanding of our customers.
  • Champion new app APIs, tools & services, and the value they offer, with engineering teams across Zillow Group.
  • Drive scalability of build system and CI/CD pipeline, documentation, and automated release process.
Requirements
  • 5+ years in a product or program management role.
  • Deeply technical with experience with CI/CD (pipeline layouts, package/artifact management, cloud compute infrastructure, security, and IAM).
  • Platform as a Product approach with a strong understanding of developers as primary customers.
  • Highly analytical with experience using data to make decisions.
  • Product Owner with experience defining projects, driving requirements, writing functional specs, and coordinating projects across multiple teams and organizations.
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal skills.
