About the Role

This is a complex role that requires administrative and technical support to the underwriting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting information, verifying and entering data into relevant systems, preparing risk underwriting analysis documents, and performing general administrative functions.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of coverage and structures, as well as internal systems and policy coding. They will be able to identify and resolve systems alerts and freezes into the quoting process to resolve discrepancies and avoid account conflicts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support underwriters to follow up on brokers, quotes, pending proposals and any other charges that may be necessary.
  • Provide customer service, proactively interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate in the preparation for the issuance, endorsement and cancellation of policies within the established deadlines.
  • Review post-issuance policies/support and refer discrepancies to the responsible area for correction.
  • Maintain updated files of all accounts, in accordance with the internal rules and procedures of the area.

We're looking for a candidate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements:

  • Completed higher education.
  • At least 1 to 5 years of experience and/or training related to insurance (Insurance Companies or Insurance Brokers) excellent knowledge of underwriting processes and procedures.
  • People management experience is not required but is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of quality performance data.
  • Understanding of business expectations in terms of key deliverables.
  • MS Office Proficiency: Knowledge and ability to use data processing packages such as MS Office, advanced/intermedia Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Language: Spanish and advanced understanding of English language.
