Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight & Customs Specialist to join our team at Continental. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing freight and customs operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control costs for freight and customs
  • Schedule and track shipments with raw material and finished product
  • Ensure corresponding approvals for premium freight
  • Control and track costs for premium freight
  • Load information in TRACS for budget generation
  • Provide logistics costs for other company departments
  • Load TRACS with correct and complete invoice information
  • Analyze service and certification requirements for transporters
  • Control delay times in loading and unloading units
  • Feed TRACS with shipment information for financial reports
  • Evaluate provider performance

Requirements

  • Degree in International Trade
  • Customs & Operations procedures and requirements
  • Knowledge of foreign trade legislation, fiscal and correlated laws
  • Ability to analyze costs and traffic reports
  • Ability to create spreadsheets and advanced formulas in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at multi-tasking and working with occasional interruptions
