We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Compliance Specialist to join our Import/Export Compliance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for determining global HTS codes, US ECCN, and COO for all products, as well as creating adequate backup documentation for product classifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Determine global HTS codes, US ECCN, and COO for all products
Read and interpret BOMs, engineering drawings, and other technical data
Create adequate backup documentation for product classifications
Monitor inbound and outbound shipments for missing classification data
Release orders on hold in the systems
Navigate SAP/IFS systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Respond to classification inquiries from outside the department
Work on projects as assigned
Availability to work on our facilities in Monterrey Manufacturing or Tecate Manufacturing
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in international business, administration, or international relations
At least two years of proven experience in classification and import/export compliance activities
General knowledge of HTS, EAR, and CCL regulations and rules
Working knowledge of global COO rules and FTAs
SAP/GTS knowledge
Ability to read and interpret BOMs and determine origin
