Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Intermediate HIL Motion Engineer to join our team at Altair Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance motion control systems for various applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement system-level testing strategies for motion control systems.
- Analyze and optimize powertrain HiL or XiL systems for improved performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test scope and develop feature requirements.
- Design and develop electrical control unit analysis tools and protocols.
- Interpret vehicle electrical schematics to develop boundary diagrams and interfaces sheets.
- Perform feature analysis and exploratory testing using CAN tools and diagnostic tools.
- Develop and implement automated testing environments and functional test cases.
- Debug and optimize automated tests for component-level testing.
- Execute functional tests for component validation and report issues.
- Reflash components with new software releases.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in motion control systems engineering.
- Proficiency in NI TestStand, dSPACE AutomationDesk, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, and Python programming languages.
- Strong understanding of CAN, LIN, and AUTOSAR protocols.
- Experience with electronics, testing techniques, and requirements/specifications management.
- Certified TestStand Developer and ISTQB Foundation Level certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- dSPACE ControlDesk and SequenceEditor experience.
- Jira and distributed version control experience.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR Foundation 1.0+ and CANFD protocols.
