**Tax Compliance and Optimization**:

Manage all tax compliance obligations for the HSBC Group entities, including income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and other tax obligations.

**Tax Reporting**:

Review and prepare quarterly and annual reporting of HSBC Group entities for group reporting purposes, including current and deferred tax positions for local GAAPs and IFRS, effective tax rate reconciliation, and uncertain tax positions.

**Tax Controversy**:

Coordinate tax audits with tax authorities and lead discussions to resolve tax disputes.

**Tax Advisory**:

Provide timely and accurate tax advice to the Line of Business (LOB) and Functions.

**Tax Risk Management**:

Manage tax risk for the Tax Function and LOB/Functions, including transfer pricing obligations and tax risk associated with services and products.

**Transfer Pricing**:

Manage all transfer pricing obligations regarding transactions with foreign related parties, including transfer pricing advisory to LOBs and Functions.

**Tax Customer Matters**:

Coordinate and supervise activities with LOBs and Functions to issue CFDIs to customers and report customer information to tax authorities.

**FATCA/CRS**:

Supervise compliance with FATCA and CRS obligations to tax authorities and provide advisory services.

**Digital Transformation**:

Lead initiatives to automate processes and working processes, including data analytics activities.

**Key Challenges**:

Continuously improve processes, operations with related parties, and follow up on new tax regulations.

**Teamwork**:

Promote teamwork with peers within the Finance Function.
