Job Summary

As the leader of the accounting team, a financial controller is responsible for closely monitoring a company's financial health and making informed decisions to drive growth and profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Financial Statement Management: Maintain, manage, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Financial Oversight: Oversee payroll, budgets, tax compliance issues, and other financial matters to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  3. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures to prevent financial mismanagement.
  4. Financial Benchmarking: Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a biweekly, monthly, and annual basis to drive business performance.
  5. Accounting Policies and Procedures: Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.
  6. Internal Controls and Compliance: Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  7. Leadership and Team Management: Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
Your Profile
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field.
  2. Experience: Five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager.
  3. Certifications: Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant).
