Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable middleware solutions using Weblogic, Tomcat, and Apache.
- Tune application server parameters for optimal system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Install and maintain SSL certificates on web and application servers.
- Collaborate with developers to detect and resolve application-related problems.
- Provide continuous monitoring and troubleshooting of application server environments.
- Participate in shift support for off-hours and weekend activities.
- Develop and maintain Unix scripts to support system administration functions.
- Work with deployment tools like Electric Cloud, Serena, and Nolio to deploy Java/J2EE applications on Weblogic/Tomcat environments.
- Automate applications, systems, and configuration management using Shell scripting, Perl, Python, and Ansible.
- Support applications hosted on hybrid platforms like AWS, Openshift, and Private Cloud.
Requirements:
- Must Have:
- 5-6 years of overall IT experience.
- 2+ years of WebLogic/Tomcat administration experience.
- 2+ years of operations and support experience.
- 1+ years of Ansible and automation experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
- Nice to Have:
- Java development experience.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS.
- Exposure to Ping Identity/F5.
- Exposure to technologies like Mulesoft, MQ, Openshift, and Docker.
- Experience with code deployment tools (UCD, AWS Deploy, Cloudbees, Jenkins).
- Knowledge of DevOps tools.
