About the RoleThis position is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling manufacturing product quality, quality systems, and improvements. As a key member of our quality team, you will play a critical role in supporting our operational strategy and enhancing team performance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage quality department process inspectors and implement a Quality System comparable to ISO9001, QS9000, and TS16494.
- Lead customer complaint analysis, return analysis, actionable data collection, and improvements to enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with shop floor managers, supervisors, and operators to drive quality improvements through problem-solving and lean/kaizen events.
- Implement Gage R&R and process capability studies, perform internal and supplier quality system audits, and develop production quality control plans.
- Reduce scrap costs throughout the facility and maintain strong relationships within the Manufacturing team.
- 3-5 years' experience in a Quality function in the automotive industry.
- Built-in Quality Concept and implementation required.
- Manufacturing operations experience a plus.
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent, knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, and application.
- Strong quantitative skills, financial competency, mechanical aptitude, and interpersonal skills.
