About This Role

As an Order Management Specialist at Emerson Automation Solutions Latin America, your primary goal is to ensure that customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with internal teams, including inside sales, the sales force, and quote to cash functional teams, to guarantee timely and accurate order completion. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and process customer purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries and concerns via various communication channels.
  • Proactively communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve order issues, collect missing information, and ensure timely order delivery.
  • Manage order backlog, resolve order issues, and process orders for timely delivery.
  • Analyze system data to make informed decisions that enable the company to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain updated customer information in business systems and other databases.
  • Collect and store necessary information and documentation to ensure compliance with record retention and documentation procedures.
  • Apply commercial policies and business practices related to quote and order entry processes.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export, contract, and government requirements.
  • Manage intercompany orders and supplier delivery dates to meet customer expectations.
  • Complete required certifications and training to perform the role effectively and fulfill quality requirements.
  • Support other team members as needed and handle additional tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, accounting, finance, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and internal team members.
  • Combined experience in customer service, planning, project management/coordinating, order management, logistics, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Windows and MS Office applications, including solid keyboard skills.
  • Intermediate level of English proficiency.
  • Availability to work during various schedules, including am to pm and am to pm.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling customer inquiries via phone systems.
  • Prior experience interacting with customers, sales teams, and data entry.
  • Technical skills: proficiency in order management software, such as Oracle and CRM, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Attention to detail for processing orders, maintaining records, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize tasks, handle multiple orders, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
