Job Overview

The Commodity Manager for Regional Professional Services is responsible for leading cross-functional teams and sourcing projects to find opportunities for multiple services and commodities. Key activities include:

  • Developing and implementing regional sourcing strategies and reviews for multiple services and functions.
  • Achieving year-on-year improvement in total cost, quality, and service while leading regional and global sourcing management activities and supplier relationships.
  • Engaging with Business Unit and regional facility managers and teams to support a Risk Mitigation program that impacts Rockwell's third parties, supporting the company's security strategies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting and leading strategic projects and negotiations for several Regional Departments with guidance from the Manager of Strategic Sourcing.
  • Driving the implementation of the sourcing strategy for various assigned engineering projects, communicating and managing business function compliance of the strategy.
  • Leading strategic sourcing teams, driving results of specific sourcing strategies within the LATAM regional Services and Commodities.
  • Developing expertise in corporate functions such as Engineering Design, Finance, HR, Legal, and Supply Chain, understanding their needs and capabilities for commodities and services.
  • Responsible for Regional Supplier Management, monitoring and evaluating supplier performance around security, quality, delivery, and lead time.
  • Measuring and tracking performance on Sourcing KPIs within each commodity or service, responsible for monthly reporting to senior management on key performance indicators.
  • Identifying and implementing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction opportunities for assigned commodities/services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of services commodities.
  • Team contributor – comfortable in leading cross-functional, international, and multi-cultural teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret basic contractual language.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to build solid relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • High energy and enthusiasm.
  • Problem-solving oriented with project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word).

Rockwell Automation's hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
