Process Engineering Specialist

Position Summary
The Process Engineering Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing efficiency and product quality. This position involves collaboration with production teams to address challenges that hinder the achievement of operational and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in manufacturing areas to meet production and quality targets.
- Implement modifications to production workflows aimed at elevating product quality, boosting productivity, and minimizing costs.
- Evaluate the need for new machinery and tooling while managing existing resources effectively.
- Facilitate the introduction of new products into the manufacturing process.
Daily Activities
- Identify and prioritize projects that enhance productivity and quality while reducing operational costs.
- Design and refine tools utilized in manufacturing processes.
- Assess and enhance the capacity of production processes.
- Develop and document methods and procedures for production areas, ensuring clarity in process sheets.
- Provide prompt support and solutions for production-related challenges.
- Communicate effectively with affiliates for necessary support and information to resolve production issues.
Layout Optimization
Design layouts that maximize space efficiency and streamline manufacturing operations.
Qualifications for Success
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is essential; a Master's degree in Engineering or Management is preferred.
- Proficiency in process setup for metal bending, stamping, cutting, crimping, and forming.
- Familiarity with failure analysis techniques.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of die design and machining processes.
- Capability to develop, define, and document processes including parameter sheets, visual aids, and standard operating procedures.
- Intermediate proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD design software.
- Understanding of process validation methodologies.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in interpreting GD&T drawings.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills utilizing methodologies such as 8D, Kepner Tregoe, Six Sigma, or similar approaches.
- A responsible individual with a proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. Proficiency in English is mandatory.
