Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Coordinator - Quality Assurance to join our team at General Motors. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining awareness of quality standards and communicating department quality goals to ensure the highest level of quality in our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes to prevent reoccurrence of known issues
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union, and management to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Participate in the selection of new employees and train, develop, and evaluate salaried and hourly employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively
  • Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes across multiple departments and serve as a lead resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas
  • Meet or exceed production cost schedule and maintain quality requirements
  • Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health, and safety, and housekeeping
  • Ensure team members receive adequate JIT (job instruction training) and coach, teach, counsel, and mentor Group Leaders in these responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Available to change shifts (4x3, 5x2, 6x1)
  • Advanced English language proficiency
