Key Responsibilities- Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure that accounts receivable records are kept up-to-date and reflect current aging.
- Timely Application of Credits: Apply credits and collections accurately and promptly.
- Understanding of Medical Billing: Possess knowledge of the accounts receivable posting process specific to medical billing, including charges, payments, and adjustments.
- Financial Transaction Posting: Utilize automated systems and team processes for posting financial transactions.
- Insurance Benefits Interpretation: Accurately interpret insurance explanation of benefits to ensure correct posting.
- Remittance File Management: Retrieve and upload 835 remittance files into the patient account system, ensuring proper file reconciliation.
- Productivity Optimization: Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity within the department.
- Technology Utilization: Maintain knowledge of the work area and optimize the use of available technology.
- Refund Processing: Research and process insurance and patient refunds by gathering necessary information from various stakeholders.
- Effective Communication: Establish and maintain communication with physicians, staff, and other departments as necessary.
- Compliance: Adhere to Business Office rules and regulations, including Medicare and HIPAA guidelines.
- Account Management: Forward accounts requiring further action to the appropriate department.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing and/or cash applications or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
- Preferred experience in cash posting within a multiple lockbox environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems.
Salary: 30,000.00 MXN monthly gross plus benefits.
