Position Overview

In this role as a Senior Applied AI professional, you will:

  • Innovate and Implement: Utilize contemporary software engineering methodologies to engage in the complete software development lifecycle, ensuring the creation, testing, and deployment of superior solutions.
  • Design Robust ML Architectures: Construct extensive data processing frameworks that empower researchers to develop and refine cutting-edge machine learning models. Your focus will be on creating high-performance systems suitable for large-scale online environments.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably within machine learning and natural language processing domains.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Python development environments, with familiarity in additional programming languages being advantageous.
  • Capable of understanding, applying, integrating, and deploying machine learning functionalities within various systems.
  • Familiar with the Python data science ecosystem, including libraries such as Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, and scikit-learn.
  • Take pride in producing clean, reusable, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.
  • Show a commitment to learning and adapting to new and emerging technologies.
  • Have a foundational understanding of probabilistic models and the mathematical principles underpinning machine learning techniques.
  • Experience in integrating machine learning solutions into production-grade software, with knowledge of ModelOps and MLOps principles.
  • Exhibit proficiency in automation, system monitoring, and cloud-native applications, with experience in AWS or Azure (or similar platforms).
  • Previous exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) challenges, with familiarity in key tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER), Information Extraction, and Information Retrieval.
  • Ability to interpret and translate methodologies and terminologies used in both research and engineering contexts.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing machine learning solutions into production-grade software.
  • Hands-on experience with additional programming and scripting languages (Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, etc.).
