Job Summary

The Tax Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of federal taxes, informative returns, and compliance with current tax laws for Landis+Gyr, S.A. de C.V. and Landis+Gyr Mexico, S.A. de C.V. This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit annual and monthly informative returns, including DIEMSE, Operations with related parties, Reportable Schemes, DIOT, and annual economic reports to the Ministry of Economy.
  • Calculate annual taxes and prepare the annual income tax return.
  • Prepare and submit monthly VAT refund requests to the tax authority.
  • Address requirements and invitation letters from the tax authority.
  • Submit monthly electronic accounting to the tax authority.
  • Reconcile monthly and annually CFDI's of payroll vs payment of estimated tax and vs accounting.
  • Conduct compliance review regarding VAT certification, including updates to the RFC, monthly review of positive opinions from suppliers, and analysis of the VAT tax credit of foreign trade operations.
  • Prepare CFDI's for withholding of income tax on interest, income from maquila services, administrative services, and REP's to intercompany.
  • Calculate maquila income and record it in CONTPAQ.
  • Calculate administrative services for Landis+Gyr Mexico.
  • Conduct quarterly analysis of markup for Landis+Gyr Mexico.
  • Make bimonthly adjustments of taxes, IMSS, SAR, INFONAVIT.
  • Send information to tax specialists for APA's submitted to the tax authority.
  • Review compliance for suppliers with REPSE.
  • Perform accounts analysis and reconciliation.
  • Record journal entries.
  • Prepare working papers for external financial audit.
  • Support in administrative matters of the department.
  • Perform other activities assigned by the Sr General Accountant and the Finance Director.
