Transformative DevOps Engineer Role at Capital One

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Capital One. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving a major transformation within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and participate in internal & external technology communities
  • Work with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for our customers
  • Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go, as well as container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services

Requirements:

  • Intermediate-Advanced English fluency
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in DevOps Engineering
  • At least 1 year of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • At least 1 year of Unix or Linux system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with Terraform or Ansible
  • 1+ years of experience with container orchestration services including Docker or Kubernetes
  • 1+ experience with coding and scripting (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby)
  • 1+ years of experience working with Agile Development Practices
