About the Role

Zillow is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Comprehensive Customer Data team. As a key member of our team, you will design, implement, and take ownership of mission-critical data pipelines and data products.

You will collaborate with various internal teams to scope and deliver tools that ensure ease of system use. Your strong background in Python and SQL will enable you to write high-quality code, refactor, and optimize code for better scalability, performance, and readability.

Additionally, you will integrate new frameworks, libraries, technologies, and components into our codebase. Your proactive approach to logging, collecting, and reviewing metrics will help you monitor, alert, and address issues quickly.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about collaborating across organizational boundaries and has excellent interpersonal skills. If you have a strong background in software development and a desire to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and take ownership of mission-critical data pipelines and data products
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to scope and deliver tools that ensure ease of system use
  • Write high-quality code, refactor, and optimize code for better scalability, performance, and readability
  • Integrate new frameworks, libraries, technologies, and components into our codebase
  • Proactively log, collect, and review metrics to monitor, alert, and address issues quickly
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Python and SQL
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for collaborating across organizational boundaries
