Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Mexico City. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, architect, and implement software systems for our genomic applications and services, with a focus on the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software systems for genomic applications and services
  • Be responsible for code that spans multiple domains across frontend, backend, devops, and testing
  • Deploy and operate software with reliability and scale for users and health systems
  • Collaborate with product managers, bioinformaticians, scientists, and other engineers
  • Own deliverables from ideas to feature completion and production deployment
  • Improve and adopt exceptional engineering practices for the organization
  • Mentor other engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and education
Requirements
  • 7+ years development experience in Go, Python, Typescript, Javascript, Java, or similar
  • Proficiency with distributed systems built on cloud infrastructure — AWS, GCP, Azure or similar
  • Experience architecting large, high-scale durable back-end or front-end systems
  • Thought leadership and a successful track record mentoring other engineers
  • Affinity for an engineering culture that emphasizes Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery
  • Proven track record of successful project deliveries
  • Willing to work onsite in Mexico City for at least one day each week
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
