Cybersecurity Operations Center Specialist

Radian Generation, a global leader in renewable energy technology, is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Center Specialist to join its team.
This role plays a critical part in safeguarding Radian's infrastructure from cyber threats within the Security Operations Center (SOC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in incident response, threat analysis, and implementing security measures tailored for Renewable Energy Generators' OT networks.
Responsibilities- Monitoring OT networks for security threats and vulnerabilities to support incident responses.
- User provisioning, including creating and maintaining user accounts, modifying permissions, and managing access control lists.
- Executing standard operating procedures and adhering to company policies.
- Maintaining system integrity through routine management of backup and recovery services, file and disk management, and virus protection.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Designing, implementing, and administering complex computing environments in power generation, involving systems like Windows servers and workstations, network and security hardware from Hirschmann, Palo-Alto, and Cisco, communications via ISP services, storage solutions such as SQL and historians, and substation hardware including SEL, along with UPS and PDU systems.
- Evaluating and reviewing host, system, and network configurations for newly acquired sites, recommending improvements.
- Regularly reviewing security, antivirus, traffic, and event logs to ensure optimal operation and security compliance.
- Reporting on project & ticket statuses and participating in staff and client meetings as required.
- Executing assigned work orders, including support tickets and project tasks, to fulfill obligations under Managed Services Provider (MSP) and Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) contracts for both new and existing customer facilities.
- Performing routine and scheduled maintenance, addressing break/fix issues, acting as a subject matter expert for programs and products offered, and responding to emergent conditions across the fleet.
- Executing vulnerability assessments using scanning software, implementing mitigation plans for vulnerabilities, and reviewing security, antivirus, traffic, and event logs.
- A technical degree or 3 years of relevant OT experience; direct or indirect service experience preferred.
- Experience in NERC CIP-regulated environments, compliance programs, or standard-driven environments such as PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO-27001.
- Knowledgeable in server hardware, OS management, networking, cybersecurity, and data storage and recovery.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively and make decisions independently.
- Floating Role: This position is based in Mexico and requires flexibility to adapt to various schedules as needed.
- Shift Work: This role operates on a PM shift as part of a 24/7 operation center, requiring staff to work from late afternoon to late night, including weekends and holidays.
The estimated annual salary for this position is around $60,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
