About Scrum Master II Role SummaryThe Scrum Master II is a servant-leader who supports the development team and product owner to increase business agility and maximize value delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Protect the development team from external influences and remove impediments.
- Create a safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution, emphasizing healing and problem-solving.
- Foster collaboration and facilitate work completion without coercion or dictation.
- Improve internal and external communication by enhancing transparency and information flow.
- Support the Product Owner, especially in refining and ordering the product backlog.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is visible and prioritized for business value.
- Facilitate various Scrum events such as Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Empower teams to be self-organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A strong understanding of agile frameworks, including Scrum from multiple teams/products.
- Demonstrated evidence of a servant-leadership mindset.
- Proficiency in using Agile delivery tools like Azure DevOps.
- A demonstrated continuous learning mindset.
- The ability to teach and train others on Agile, Scrum, Kanban at varying levels of complexity.
- A change agent who challenges the team to continuously improve.
- A good understanding of product and sprint backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, and velocity.
- Effective negotiation, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Good knowledge, skills, and ability working in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to understand diverse viewpoints.
- High Emotional Intelligence (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills).
- The ability to facilitate, coach, and guide through influence, inspiration, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- The ability to coach and train Agile teams on their roles before, during, and after PI Planning.
- Establishing DoR, DoD with teams and Product Owners on Story and Feature level wherever applicable.
- SUPPORT RELEASE TRAIN ENGINEER, IT LEAD AND BUSINESS LEADERS BY FACILITATING AGILE CEREMONIES INCLUDING SPRINT PLANNING, BACKLOG GROOMING, SPRINT REVIEW, DAILY STAND-UP ETC..
- PROVIDES COACHING AND TRAINING TO THE AGILE TEAM(S) ON HOW TO EXECUTE THE SCRUM FRAMEWORK.
