We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Equine Veterinary Professional Services Manager. This position will be based at our headquarters and will involve working closely with our team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive business growth.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, particularly in equine practice. They will have a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and team management skills. A DVM/VMD degree and active veterinary license are essential qualifications for this role.

This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a high level of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and business development skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing our Equine VPS team, developing and implementing product lifecycle strategies, and driving sales objectives through effective marketing and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Equine VPS team to ensure effective resource utilization and time management.
  • Develop and implement product lifecycle strategies that align with Dechra's commercial and product goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategize and support business initiatives, including territory manager interactions and customer needs.
  • Provide technical expertise for product portfolio strategy, innovation, and lifecycle management.
  • Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and organize technical advisory panels to enhance educational efforts and support industry learning.
Requirements
  • DVM/VMD degree with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in equine practice.
  • Active veterinary license in good standing.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and contribute to product lifecycle and innovation strategies.
  • Willingness to travel for conferences, seminars, and field support (up to 50%).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Teams) and Concur expense reporting.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $120,000 and $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
