**Job Summary**

The Receiving Supervisor at Johnson Controls is responsible for overseeing the receiving department and ensuring the smooth operation of inventory management. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with the purchasing department and warehouse team.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Unload, inspect, and store incoming merchandise according to company procedures
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder merchandise as necessary
  • Train and supervise receiving clerks and other staff as needed
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to resolve issues with backordered or out-of-stock items
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to received merchandise

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or marketing
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with databases and spreadsheets
  • Good computer skills
  • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, math skills, and multi-tasking skills
  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing a team

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Manufacturing experience (HVAC a plus)
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong desire for learning and benchmarking
