Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Plant Operations to manage our plant in San Jose, Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the plant meets production targets, maintains high-quality standards, and operates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Control: Ensure the plant meets production targets, including quantity, quality, deadlines, and economic feasibility.
- Resource Management: Provide means for human resources, technologies, and systems to achieve economic targets and remain competitive on the global market.
- Leadership and Team Management: Deploy employees according to their qualifications, instruct and support them to fulfill tasks, and manage employees to achieve department targets.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure the fulfillment of strategic quality targets, provide safety equipment, and create maximum-safety conditions for employees.
- Environmental Management: Implement the Environment Management System to meet environment-related requirements of legislation.
- Investment Planning: Agree on test criteria, arrange for and approve the sourcing of production equipment and technologies, and monitor production technologies to keep costs low.
- Operational Excellence: Design and produce jigs, machines, and measuring equipment, and approve and arrange for the use of existing know-how for low-cost technically optimum solutions.
- Strategic Projects: Involvement in strategic inter-disciplinary company projects to meet customer wishes, optimize efforts, and secure jobs.
- Compliance: Recognize, understand, and comply with the requirements and objectives of official bodies and Hella internal standards.
Requirements:
- Experience in plant management, production planning, and control.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to ensure high-quality standards and efficient operations.
- Knowledge of environmental management systems and compliance with legislation.
- Ability to design and produce jigs, machines, and measuring equipment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
