Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes, and will work closely with our production teams to implement quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards and are free from defects.
- Process Control: Work with our production teams to implement and maintain effective process controls, including control plans and first piece sheets.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain up-to-date quality documentation, including control plans, first piece sheets, and visual aids.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of quality-related activities and metrics.
- 5S Implementation: Promote and monitor the implementation of 5S principles in our production areas.
- Non-Conforming Material: Ensure that non-conforming material is properly handled and disposed of.
- Scrap Analysis: Participate in scrap analysis and develop action plans to reduce scrap rates.
- Reaction Plans: Elaborate and follow up on reaction plans and internal 8Ds until closure is achieved.
Requirements
- Education: Industrial, mechanical, or related engineering degree.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a similar position and industry.
- Skills: Knowledge of Core tools, including statistical tools, problem-solving methodologies (8 D's, Ishikawa, CPK, GD&T, LPA's), and experience with automotive clients and customer service.
- Certifications: Yellow, green, or black certification is desired.
- Language: Conversational English.
