**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Scientist to join our Global Purchasing and Supply Chain team at Stellantis. As a key member of our Materials and Technical Expertise group, you will play a critical role in securing raw materials technologies for our powertrain products.
Key Responsibilities
- Characterize precursors used for manufacturing of Cathode (CAM) and Anode (AAM) materials, including NMC, LFP, and forthcoming technologies.
- Manage the quality of materials through analysis of transformation steps for manufacturing of CAM and AAM.
- Qualify re-used and re-cycled raw materials for advanced CAM, AAM, ELECTROLYTES, SEPARATORS, and their impact on product performances.
- Analyze technical specs and data sheets of RM for the development of suitable CAM, AAM, and Electrolytes by direct interface with suppliers.
- Model and simulate materials in terms of crystal lattices and main precursors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Material Science, Mineral/Chemistry Engineer, Physics, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field.
- Experience in working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to synthesize and draw technical reports.
- Strong network in the supply chain for precursor production and transformation.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry/Material Science.
- Professional experience in this field of activity.
