About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy as a Distributed New Installation Mechanical Engineer. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in installation of heavy equipment and auxiliaries in power plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Supervision
Supervise and guide new installation project teams for industrial gas turbines and auxiliaries' systems, ensuring timely and efficient project execution.
- Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate closely with the Siemens Energy project team to ensure seamless project execution and submit detailed reports on a daily basis to project team and management.
- Scope Review and Execution
Review and execute project scope according to Siemens Energy contract requirements, ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards.
- Installation and Safety Management
Ensure that all industrial gas turbine and auxiliaries' installations are carried out in accordance with Siemens Energy procedures and safety protocols, including the company's Zero Harm Culture.
- Issue Resolution and Coordination
Coordinate with Siemens Energy engineering to resolve installation issues on site, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal project outcomes.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of experience in installation of heavy equipment and auxiliaries in power plants.
- Skills and Competencies
Self-driven, able to make decisions with minimum guidance; strong teamwork, results-oriented, and risk management skills; adaptability and flexibility in an environment with changing requirements and priorities; willingness to travel 80%+ in domestic and international assignments; working proficiency in English (both verbal and written); and proficient computer skills (MS Office applications).
