Job Summary

As an Afterschool Childcare Worker, you will provide continuous supervision and interaction with children, planning and participating in activities for small groups on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise children constantly, never leaving them unattended.
  • Assist children with hygiene needs and assignments.
  • Coordinate planned activities as determined by the site supervisor.
  • Provide assistance in distributing snacks and supplies.
  • Refer serious discipline problems to the site supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and parents
  • Certification in Red Cross first aid and CPR/AED
  • Positive attitude toward working with young children

Work Environment

The work environment is a school/classroom setting, with occasional work in community settings and study trips.
