Job Summary:
This position requires a full-time on-site presence to provide technical and regulatory advice, mentoring, and coaching to site operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting site leadership in maintaining compliance with General Motors' Workplace Safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing site operations as a Subject Matter Expert on Workplace Safety requirements.
- Working in partnership with site leadership to support Workplace Safety cultural transformation.
- Developing and educating site employees to drive Workplace Safety cultural transformation.
- Developing partnerships with key site personnel, including Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing Leadership, Human Resources, Industrial Hygiene, and Health Services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Medium-level English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Compliance and administration of corporate and legal requirements (NOMs, OSHA, etc.).
- Leading investigations of incidents and accidents.
- Supporting risk prevention committees.
- Change management of processes.
- Training various groups on Workplace Safety.
- Communicating prevention campaigns.
- Supporting corrective action plans.
