Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at MicroSure. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing and developing the mechanical aspects of our medical devices, working closely with electronics and software engineers to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and Development

Create detailed mechanical designs and 3D models for medical devices using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD);

Collaboration and Integration

Work closely with electronics and software teams to ensure mechanical components are compatible with system requirements;

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure designs comply with medical standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations);

Prototyping and Testing

Build and test prototypes to evaluate the performance and durability of designs;

Simulation and Analysis

Conduct simulations (e.g., FEA, CFD) to predict how mechanical systems will behave under various conditions;

Validation and Iteration

Work closely with the testing team to validate designs and ensure they meet clinical requirements;

Manufacturing and Transition

Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to transition designs from prototype to production;

Biomedical Collaboration

Collaborate with biomedical engineers to understand clinical needs and translate them into technical specifications;

Design Reviews and Risk Assessment

Participate in design reviews and contribute to risk assessments and failure mode analysis (FMEA).

Requirements

  1. Education and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field;

Industry Experience

3-7 years of experience in a regulated industry, preferably Medtech;

Manufacturing Knowledge

Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, CNC machining, and additive manufacturing;

Problem-Solving and Creativity

Strong problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset;

Communication and Teamwork

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;

Language Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (written and spoken);
