Tax Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our team in Mexico City, reporting to the Global Head of Tax. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a global team and contribute to the company's risk management and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Coordinate Tax Strategies: Assist in creating and implementing tax policies, procedures, and processes to minimize global tax risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and Review Tax Returns: Coordinate the preparation and conduct technical legal review of all federal, state, and foreign tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with Tax Account Analysis: Collaborate with the accounting team to analyze tax-sensitive accounts, including taxes payable, deferred taxes, tax expense, investment accounts, and intercompany loan balances.
- Research and Analyze Tax Issues: Research and analyze multiple tax issues effectively in all areas of tax law, business operations, global economics, and accounting.
- Assist with Tax Audits: Assist with federal, state, and foreign income tax audits effectively, utilizing necessary research tools and expertise.
- Interact with External Advisors: Interact with the company's external tax and accounting advisors regarding provision, statutory accounting, and compliance issues.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required; CPA, JD, and/or Masters of Taxation degree a plus.
- Experience: Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year tax experience.
- Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate knowledge of working with income tax provisions, basic tax research, and accounting. Proficient in Excel and standard business software applications.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Additional Requirements: Willingness to participate in multiple areas of tax, including foreign country tax regimes. Proven experience utilizing standard business, tax, and accounting software applications.
