Position Overview: As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical validation of customer OVATION applications, ensuring seamless integration into a holistic solution. Your role will encompass supporting the technical execution from the internal handover meeting through to the closure meeting with the client, in alignment with the project schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison with the customer's technical team, necessitating a commitment to travel frequently to client sites.
- Identify and communicate any impacts on timelines and resources to the Project Manager due to client-requested scope changes.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and equipment suppliers, assist in procurement activities, and support general engineering tasks.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Delivering a quality product on time that meets customer specifications while utilizing resources efficiently, adhering to PMO guidelines and local standards.
- Engaging in short-term project assignments and assisting in the testing of hardware and software deployments.
- Participating in system installations and field start-ups, and preparing submittal information for customer approval.
- Working with hardware integration and possessing foundational knowledge of systems integration.
- Reviewing scopes of work for completeness and preparing design documents and specifications.
- Creating test procedures and attending customer meetings for design clarification.
- Coordinating efforts with resources from other engineering centers and participating in all FAT and SAT procedures.
- Assisting in the integration and unit testing of control systems, as well as software validation and deployment.
- Providing regular updates on progress and issues to the line manager regarding assigned engineering and support activities.
- Verifying project scope and outcomes related to the Control System to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Securing written approval from the customer for design documents necessary for material release and procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Control, Automation, Systems, Mechatronics, Mechanics, Robotics, or a related field.
- Experience as a project engineer in configuring systems or other control/PLCs, Human-Machine Interfaces, field instrumentation, or process control communication protocols.
- Desirable experience in field activities related to process automation projects, particularly in networking and communication protocols.
- Proficiency in English at a B level or technician fluency.
Preferred Attributes:
- A self-starter with a capacity for rapid learning from senior engineers and lead engineers.
- A collaborative team player who can work under the guidance of the Lead/Engineering Manager.
