Job Summary

Oceaneering is a global leader in the offshore energy industry, providing engineered services and products to support the lifecycle of oilfields. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Surveyor and Positioning Expert to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, calibration, and operation of surface and subsea sensors for real-time position determination of vessels and remotely operated vehicles.
• Expertly operate equipment, including cameras, acoustic positioning systems, sonars, subsea tooling, and surface positioning systems.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of surveyor data collection and analysis processes.
• Manage and maintain parts and supplies inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Five to eight years of experience in the Survey or Geoscience industry as a Survey Professional.
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) – US.
• Must be able to obtain a valid Passport and any other regionally mandated offshore work requirement documents as appropriate.

Desired Qualifications

• Two-year Technical Degree or higher in a field of study preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent desired.
• Current security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFSHORE, characterized by:

• Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water.
• Requires working on or near moving and vibrating equipment.
• Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85db, and the light is intense/glare.
• Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
• Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
• Work surface is stable, height is elevated.
