Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled NC Programmer to join our team at STERIS Canada Corporation. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing programs, processes, and documents to support the manufacture of parts for our sterilizers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize CNC/NC Processes: Establish the most efficient CNC/NC process for machine selection, fixturing, and tooling to ensure manufacturing consistency.
  • Develop CNC Programs: Create 2, 3, or 4 axes CNC machine tool programs to support the production of high-quality parts.
  • Support Tool Crib Department: Review tool vendors' pricing and availability to ensure optimal tooling for CNC machine tools.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineer: Assist in the development of new product lines and accessories, and review existing product lines for improvement.
  • Maintain Equipment and Programs: Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and updated with the necessary tools and programs to operate correctly.
  • Implement Process Improvements: Recommend and establish new CNC procedures to replace existing conventional methods, resulting in improved efficiency and productivity.
  • Meet Performance Goals: Meet the goals of the workcell (SQDC) and the company's overall objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience: Three to five years of CNC or NC programming experience, with up to four-axis machining experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Pro-Engineer (Pro E) and experience with NCell, Cycad, Mastercam, Espirit, and Edgecam.
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or computer science.
Preferred Qualifications

A wide knowledge and experience in similar products is beneficial, but not essential if education and experience are applicable.
