About The Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services.

Our focus is on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Proactively approach clients to establish real needs, understand the client and their requirements, and interest them in UOB's product offerings.
  2. Provide expert advice and product information to UOB clients as appropriate, outlining features and benefits.
  3. Build and maintain new and existing customer relationships through exceptional service and support.
  4. Perform the necessary processes, procedures and verbal dialogues to effectively customize offers and cross-sell an expansive set of products and services to new and existing customers.
  5. Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets through strategic planning and execution.
  6. Fulfill the clients' necessities while providing an exceptional client experience, measured by specific metrics.
  7. Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding UOB, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Job Requirements
  1. Must have at least a Secondary School Certificate and have strong confidence level to sell and promote the product and services.
  2. Proven experience working as a Sales Executive is required.
  3. Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills over physical face-to-face platforms are essential.
  4. Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  5. Fluent in oral English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin (Advantage) is preferred.
  6. Customer Experience orientation is a must.
  7. Attention to details, result-oriented and self-starter are key qualities.
  8. Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player are required.
  9. Possess own transportation is necessary.
