Job Summary:
As a Logistics Coordinator at Transplace, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of booking, shipping, and tracking shipments. This includes ensuring on-time pick-up and delivery expectations, maintaining carrier relationships, and achieving internal department goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Secure capacity for loads and leverage carrier communication to influence capacity awards during tight markets.
- Monitor shipment status and ensure daily updates in the system. Notify shippers and/or receivers of load status and reschedule pick-up/delivery appointments when necessary.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Track volume and revenues on a weekly basis (Scorecards).
- Oversee and correct service issues with customers.
- Demonstrate ownership of assigned segments of business.
