About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure and/or validate the quality of developed software products
  • Perform systems bring-up and integration, systems performance, hardware test, quality, RAS (reliability, availability, and serviceability), production introduction, and product engineering
  • Focus on Individual/Team/Department Operational Objectives
Technical Requirements
  • IBM Power Systems hardware skills (e.g. bring-up, installation, configuration, maintenance and administration)
  • AIX or Linux on Power experience (e.g. bring-up, install/migration/general knowledge-administration, etc.) - preferably both AIX and Linux
  • Experience in Cronus
  • Virtualization (e.g. PowerVM, KVM, VMware)
  • Strong Knowledge of end-to-end of Defect Management
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Enterprise Storage/SAN (e.g. DS8K, XIV, V7000, Brocade administration, etc.)
  • Knowledge/Experience in Linux administration
  • Experience in Rational Quality Manager
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices and methodologies including Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment (CD)/Continuous Testing (CT)
