We are seeking a Senior Employee and Labor Relations Expert to join our team in Puebla. This critical role will be responsible for leading the delivery of Employee Relations and Labor Relations Services within the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure timely and compliant handling of all Employee Relations cases, including Workplace Investigations, Grievances, Discipline, and Performance Management cases.
  2. Lead the development of Labor Relations Strategy, preparation, and negotiation of agreements within agreed parameters with BUHR.
  3. Manage relevant Labor Relations processes related to significant organizational change, such as Business Restructures at country level.
  4. Develop organizational capability, knowledge, skills, and understanding of country ER/LR topics by developing and delivering frequent functional/operational training and knowledge sharing activities.
  5. Analyze ER/LR data to identify and implement interventions to continuously improve employee experience and customer satisfaction and to enhance provision of ER/LR service.
  6. Partner with BUHR to shape culture and employee engagement strategies guided by Our Credo/Our Voice survey insights, employee sentiment, etc.
  7. Work with HR leader to recommend a strategy that anticipates and addresses future changes in business conditions.
  8. Co-lead and work in the change management strategy to create the conditions for a smooth transformation in site.
  9. Work with BUHR in a communication plan or roadmap to ensure all employees are fully aware of changes.
  10. Collaborate with other functions (People Experience, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Legal, etc.) to identify opportunities and ensure integration of efforts between HR and the rest of the organization.
  11. Create a high-touch/personal HR experience by supporting employees with questions, concerns, and general engagement.
  12. Use data and analytics to track and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for opportunity areas and continued improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. A qualification/diploma/degree in HR, Business, Employment and/or Labor Law or similar.
  2. Significant HR experience with a concentration in Employee Relations and Labor Relations.
  3. Strong experience in Labor Relations, including setting Labor Relations strategy and managing positive trade union relationships, partnership working, collective consultation, pay bargaining, and dispute resolution.
  4. A proven track record of managing end-to-end business change activity, ideally including Business Restructures, from business case to completion in a unionized and non-unionized environment.
  5. Significant experience of successful Employee Relations practice and expert knowledge of Mexico employment and labor law.
