About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled International Tax Manager to join our team at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation, filing, and review of federal and state tax returns, identifying and resolving tax issues, and preparing for income tax audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and communicate developments in tax legislation to management.
  • Supervise local accountants to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Oversee tax compliance, governance, and control in the region.
  • Conduct tax risk identification and mitigation.
  • Coordinate transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions analysis from a tax perspective.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, and review financial reports or statements.
  • Prepare tax projections and deferred tax computations.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax forms, including federal tax returns, VAT, and other business-related filings.
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
  • Plan for and develop the overall tax return calendar, coordinating timing and inputs with the tax team.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced tax professional with a strong background in international finance and tax laws. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.

  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing reporting requirements.
  • Strong experience with a variety of tax operations.
  • Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
