Senior Software Development Engineer for Server Scale and Customer Engagement

Intel is seeking a skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join its Fleet and Scale Customer Engineering team within the Data Processing Engineering and Architecture organization.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with customers, enabling on-time, high-quality launches of Intel server programs and in-Fleet product experiences. As part of this team, you will engage directly with customers throughout the development cycle, from platform power-on to product lifecycle.
Your Key Responsibilities

- Develop customer-consumable software for system state visibility, including IA cores, memory, peripherals, busses, and more.
- Provide strategic solutions using such software to tackle in-field and at-scale challenges.
- Collaborate on Autonomous BMC Crash dump features, triage, debug CPU issues, and system hangs, crashes, drive initiatives, and collect event-driven data.
- Solve production debug issues for customers' server designs via scaled enablement of diagnostic software.
- Participate in testing CPU issues under Simics Virtual Platform environment.

- Intermediate / advanced English communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field.
- 5+ years of experience in C/C++, Python programming, software debugging, code review, Linux/Windows operating systems, and validation/enabling silicon processes.

- Experience in Intel Xeon server systems architecture at board and systems level.
- Software best practices like requirements gathering/writing, agile, unit regression testing.
- Development solutions for complex high-performance multi-core CPU products.
- Knowledge of design patterns, object-oriented programming (OOP), development source control (DSC), service-oriented architecture (SOA), and overall software design methodologies.
- Git knowledge and CI/CD system expertise.
- Cloud Engineering, Code Review, Computer Architecture Knowledge, Customer Problem Solving, High-Level Software Design, Open-Source Software Technology.
Estimated Salary Range:$140,000 - $160,000 per year
