Key Responsibilities- Design and develop automotive electronics systems, including In-Vehicle Infotainment, driver displays, autonomous driving hardware, and interior monitoring.

- Develop product roadmaps and propose adaptations to global platforms for the North American market.
- Review technical portions of RFIs and RFQs, providing effort estimates for adding features or creating new products.
- Lead technical portions of presentations to customers and interface with them on technical issues.
- Develop demonstration properties as proof of concept (PoC) and/or for customer presentations.
- Lead and mentor engineers involved in local product development.
- Communicate and work with the software design team to ensure optimized product performance.
- Communicate electrical hardware design to the mechanical design team to ensure designs are optimized for thermal performance, EMC, and other environmental exposure.
- Innovate in your domain to benefit our competitiveness.
- Solve un-forecasted issues.
- Communicate within and outside Faurecia.
- Define and apply technology standards in your field.
- Transfer expertise to others through training and coaching.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering discipline, or related field (Master's Degree preferred).
- Consistent participation in ongoing career development education, either through advanced degree programs or certification programs.
- 8 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in electronics/software.
- 5 years of experience as an Expert.
- 5 years' experience programming with C or C++.
- 5+ years' experience in design of automotive electronics.
- Experience with schematic capture tools.
- Familiarity with PCB layout tools and experience reviewing board layouts.
- Proficient understanding of embedded device programming.
- Ability to decompose business requirements into functional specifications, design documentation, and use cases.
- Familiarity with chipset offerings from top suppliers in this field.
- Experience working with software teams to optimize hardware architecture for cost and performance.
- Understanding of thermal environment and design optimization.
- Familiar with a multitude of automotive operating systems.
- Familiar with state-of-the-art techniques for the development of embedded systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- English required; customer's language strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally to work with global product, sales, and engineering teams.
- Ability to cultivate innovation, optimize work processes, and drive results.
