**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled Biw Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the planning, development, and implementation of BIW assembly processes and facilities. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our manufacturing operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality, timing, and cost efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Strategic Planning**: Develop and implement BIW assembly processes and facilities that align with our company's goals and objectives.
  • **Feasibility Analysis**: Conduct thorough feasibility studies to ensure that product development designs meet manufacturing requirements.
  • **Process Optimization**: Utilize virtual build simulations and PFMEAs to enhance efficiency and minimize risks in our manufacturing processes.
  • **Hands-On Support**: Provide on-site support during physical builds, addressing issues promptly to ensure seamless execution.
  • **Technology Evaluation**: Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to enhance our operations.
  • **Supplier Relations**: Manage supplier relationships, ensuring that their capabilities meet our project needs.
  • **Verification and Validation**: Verify assembly processes and equipment to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • **Problem Solving**: Provide expert support in resolving complex issues to achieve key performance indicators effectively.
  • **Project Management**: Support management activities, developing and monitoring detailed timing plans to ensure project success.
  • **Compliance and Standards**: Ensure strict adherence to company and departmental operating processes and policies.
  • **Technical Leadership**: Manage technical challenges, offer guidance to the team, and escalate issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • **Equipment Capability**: Drive achievement of Equipment Capability targets for all new and modified facilities, maintaining high standards of performance.

**Qualifications**

  • Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or above, preferably Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or Mech/Elec combined).
  • Experience in delivering and launching BIW assembly line facilities.
  • Strong complex problem-solving skills and investigation of quality issues.
  • Effective reporting and stakeholder management.
  • Project management experience of delivering new or modified equipment into a production facility.
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams and take task ownership to deliver results.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workstreams to deliver objectives effectively.
