Cost Estimator

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and consistent cost estimates for industrial equipment and machinery. This involves analyzing specifications, calculating production costs, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure compliance with established procedures and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for new products, engineering changes, and supplier modifications
  
• Analyze specifications, including blueprints and bills of material, to determine production costs
  
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate cost estimates and compliance with industry standards
  
• Support account managers in cost variances and customer cost breakdowns
  
• Review and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy and completeness
  

Requirements

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent technical experience
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  
• At least 4 years of experience in cost estimating, industrial engineering, or a related field
  

Working Conditions

This role requires occasional lifting and carrying of up to 15 pounds, as well as regular movement around the factory and/or laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will work in an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold, and fumes/chemicals.
