About the Role

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Operations Specialist. As a key member of our Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our fulfillment facilities and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors/suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels in Amazon's fulfillment centers.
  2. Logistics Coordination: Process inbound shipments of inventory to Amazon's warehouses, including coordinating logistics and ensuring accurate labeling/packaging.
  3. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with inventory receiving, storage, or picking/packing of orders.
  4. Analysis and Reporting: Analyze sales data and forecasts to identify trends and proactively plan for inventory needs. Prepare and analyze performance reports on FBA metrics such as sell-through rates, inventory turns, and fulfillment costs.
  5. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiencies within the FBA supply chain.
  6. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact for Amazon's FBA team, escalating issues as needed. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and other teams to support the overall FBA strategy.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Excel.
  • Education: Bachelor Degree completed.
  • Language: English proficiency: Advanced (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
  • E-commerce Knowledge: Knowledge of e-commerce and the book industry.
