Job Overview

Sparrow Search is seeking a skilled Acquisitions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $360,000 to $480,000 per year, based on experience. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and record necessary information for purchase orders
  • Verify supplier invoices with bids and purchase orders
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, prices, deliveries, and inventories
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding late deliveries
  • Prepare and send bid invitations to suppliers
  • Draft and send purchase orders for approval
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of related experience or 4 years in an assistant buyer or related position preferred
  • Bilingualism desirable
  • Experience in a purchasing environment beneficial
