Purchasing Supervisor

The Procurement Manager at Glidewell Mexico City is responsible for the purchase of minimum stock and anticipating necessary purchases. This role entails prospecting local suppliers, keeping track of materials, supplies, and spare parts needed in the laboratory, and managing and controlling the file of requisitions and purchase orders throughout the month.

One of the key responsibilities of this position is to review and validate comparative charts for each purchase of $5,000 or its equivalent, with at least 3 different suppliers. This involves prospecting suppliers and presenting options to the Purchasing Manager for improvement in prices, commercial conditions, and delivery of materials.

The Procurement Manager ensures that all purchase requests are duly filled out and executed with the corresponding purchase order, responding to inquiries from internal customers and suppliers. Additionally, this role includes making necessary updates to the purchase of materials, reviewing and ensuring that the previous budget of the area is not exceeded, and ensuring the fulfillment of defined goals and expectations of the department.

As a key member of the team, the Procurement Manager makes proposals for related growth projects as required by the needs of the laboratory. Preparation of executive reports for Management each week, including dynamic tables and graphs of consumption and growth, is also an essential task.
