We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Leader to join our team in this exciting role. As a key member of our engineering and facilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing construction progress and scheduling, providing technical support to the construction team, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

About the Role

  • Oversee construction progress and scheduling, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical support to the construction team, including reviewing design and scope of work documents, evaluating contractor bids, and monitoring costs and project progress.
  • Maintain control of all project documentation, including creating, managing, and tracking RFIs from the field to the architect/engineer of record.
  • Assist the project manager in creating and distributing the project schedule, coordinating project change-order management, and conducting and documenting weekly project manager meetings/team decisions.
  • Work closely with the construction project manager to resolve conflicts between contractors and subcontractors, assist with building, city, and/or governmental permits for the project, and understand appropriate building codes/regulations and compare with construction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in construction and/or facility supervision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and influence.
  • Able to work across different cultures, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical English and Spanish language skills (read, write, and speak).
