Key Responsibilities:

The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for planning and managing the production process for Amazon Devices, ensuring that supply meets demand. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a production schedule using capacity plans, material constraints, and demand as inputs
  • Analyze demand changes to ensure supply aligns with demand requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce and eliminate any short or long-term gaps in supply plans
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with global manufacturing partners to reduce and eliminate shortages
  • Clearly communicate manufacturing partner's current production status to senior/executive stakeholders
  • Develop production strategies for new production introductions (NPI) through end of life (EOL) that balances supply and demand
  • Responsible for short/long-term planning to drive manufacturing investment decisions
  • Clearly communicate supply and demand strategies
  • Monitor and report supply chain costs
  • Be responsible for supply planning reporting generation and distribution
  • Identify opportunities to improve the planning process and drive projects to completion
  • This role may require some travel

Requirements:

A Master's degree, APICS certification, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to senior management, peers, and team members are required. A keen, flexible, and aggressive intellect with superb conceptual thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills is also essential. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects successfully is necessary, with experience with LEAN manufacturing preferred.
